While having breakfast at a hotel in Singapore one morning, I could not help but overhear a conversation at the table behind me. Three elderly ladies sharing their delight in their Asian travels and current stay, eagerly discussing the possibilities of their next destination. 

One of them suggested, “What about Jakarta?” The others quickly dismissed the idea, one responding with a huge, disappointed sigh, “Oh darling, forget about Jakarta. That city is a mess; there’s nowhere to walk.”
