One simple rule that really stuck with me when I first picked up a digital camera back in 2007 was to carry my camera with me everywhere. Seriously, I mean everywhere—just one camera, one lens, and my almost daily snapshots of life. My first digital camera was a Canon 350D kit, and I took it with me to gatherings, events, travels—you name it. I created countless memories with that basic kit, some of which I've included in the images below. Since then, I’ve moved on to different Canon DSLRs and lenses, as well as various medium format film cameras.

This rule still applies to this day; the only difference is that I now prefer carrying compact cameras, such as the M system. I’m currently using a combination of the M9-P and M10-P with 35mm and 50mm lenses.
